How women’s nutritional requirements differ from men’s

As kids, boys’ and girls’ dietary requirements are quite similar. But when they hit puberty, ladies start to develop different nutritional needs. Once in a while, you could have the tandoor and kebab in Plymptonbut as we grow old, our bodies go through more hormonal and physical changes, and we have to change the diet accordingly.

Hence, the nutritional requirements continue to evolve. This makes it important to keep a checking diet to meet these needs.

While the ladies tend to require lesser calories than men, the needs for specific vitamins and minerals are greater in comparison. Hormonal variations connected with child-bearing, menstruation, and menopause suggest that women have a greater risk of weak bones, anaemia, and osteoporosis, needing a larger intake of nutrients such as calcium, iron, vitamin D, magnesium, and vitamin B9 (folate).

Home-cooked versus restaurant food

Since there are so many ways to slip into instant gratification, you will need to have a lot of focus and determination to change a few things. One of them is food. You will easily find fast-food restaurants in Plympton and beyond. We dare to treat our bodies in ghastly ways, not respecting them and ordering food that is not good for us.

We are not telling you to complete an order or have food outside; but lowering the frequency of it. There may be the best Indian food in Plympton but reduce it to once a month.

Have home-cooked meals that have vegetables, more green leafy ones, carrots, tomatoes, beans, eggplant, gourd, etc. Soups are very easy and quick to prepare. Have some soup every evening. Yogurt, milk, eggs, lentils are very healthy.

You can start by ordering meals once a week and cut them down to once a month. Find your favorite tandoor and kebab in Plympton and get along with it.

Physical activity

Women need to strengthen their bodies as they age. Apart from having calcium, iron, vitamin, or folic acid supplements, doing yoga and regular walks would be good. It will help them stay flexible. Meditation will maintain a balance in the mind. Men do not give birth to children or have menstruation-related issues. But they have other issues. Hence they need a different diet and physical activity plan.

Choosing to remain healthy is a great way of self-care. Both men and women should work on it as soon as possible.
